Two Indian High Commission officials missing in Pakistan

Two Indian High Commission officials have been missing from Islamabad, Pakistan, since Monday morning, Times of India reported

The officials were out for official work before they went missing. The Indian government has taken up the matter with Pakistani authorities.

Tensions had been building between the two countries ever since India expelled two Pakistan officials accused of espionage.

Following the expulsion of Pakistani officials, the Indian diplomats were expecting a reciprocal action from Islamabad.

The Indian high commission is finding it difficult to resume normal functioning, as Indian diplomats and consular officials are faced with incessant and aggressive tailing and surveillance.
