Two more deaths reported today (07) due to COVID-19, raising the death toll to 142, stated the Department of Government Information.
One was a 62 year old male who had been transferred from the Colombo National Hospital to the Homagama Hospital. His residency has not yet been confirmed. Further, the cause of his death was COVID-19 related pneumonia.
A 77 year old male, resident of Colombo 13, had also passed away today due to blood poisoning issues with diabetes along with COVID-19. He had also been transferred to the Homagama Hospital from the Colombo National Hospital.
