The two Grama Niladhari Divisions Niriwiya and Nikadalupotha in the Wariyapola area will be isolated from today, said Army Commander General Shavendra Silva.
Meanwhile, the Kuliyapitiya Police Division was also isolated with effect from midnight yesterday (22).
The Army Commander further stated that the decision was taken to control the spread of Covid in the area.
Those isolations are effective until further notice.
Meanwhile, the Army Commander said that he would be concerned about the number of infected people identified in the forthcoming festivals.
He further said that a similar decision could be taken regarding the Vesak festival.
