The Pradeshiya Sabha of Irakkamam, Ampara and Koralaipattu West, Batticaloa have given their consent to the Director General of Health Services to use the relevant grounds in their areas to bury the bodies of COVID victims.
The Koralaipattu West Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman A. M. Nowfar has given the consent to bury COVID dead in the Soodupaththinachenai, 210B area. The Irakkamam Pradeshiya Sabha has also given approval to bury the Covid-19 dead in the area. They stated that they had obtained the permissions of the Medical Officers of Health of the relevant area according to the guidelines published by the Director General of Health Services.
