Two suspects have been arrested in Kelaniya for robbing seven supermarkets and two regional banks in the area, police said today.
The suspects were arrested with three weapons by the Keleniya Divisional Crime Investigation Unit.
The arrested had robbed the seven supermarkets in the Kadawatha, Ragama and Kandana areas and the two regional banks in Ragama.
Meanwhile, the police said a security officer at a supermarket had sustained injuries during one of the robberies. She has succumbed to injuries later on.
