The villages of Pannila and Cheena Koratuwa in Beruwala have been declared isolated areas, according to Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva.
Entry to or exit from theses villages has been completely prohibited.The Army and Police have been deployed to ensure villagers adhere to rules imposed by the government.
Meanwhile, the isolation period for Atalugama in Bandaragama came to an end today.
