Uber, the world’s largest on-demand ride-sharing company, today announced the launch of its bike-sharing product, uberMOTO in Colombo.
UberMOTO offers riders an affordable and convenient motorcycle ride at the push of a button through the Uber app, with fares as low Rs. 25. Riders receive driver and bike details just as they do for other Uber rides, as well as all standard safety features before, during and after the ride including GPS tracking, two-way feedback and the ability to share trip details with family and friends.
Ankit Gupta, Lead - Sri Lanka, Uber said, “We are thrilled to launch UberMOTO in Colombo and give our riders another affordable and reliable mode of transport to travel around the city. With the launch of this product, we aim to contribute towards urban mobility in Colombo and at the same time create more earning opportunities for driver partners.”
