The Sri Lankan Envoy to the UN in Geneva C. A. Chandraprema stated that the UN resolution on Sri Lanka is unwarranted and unjustified and requested the member countries to defeat it.
He stated that Sri Lanka rejects the unprecedented proposal. He revealed that there will be wide ranging implications that would be caused by the passing of this resolution.
He said that this was because the UN hopes to take actions for dangers caused by trajectory over warning signs and that the dangers had not yet occurred.
