Unbeaten Super Fashion Northern Warriors recorded their third consecutive win to lead the points table after day three of the Army Commander’s League T20 Cricket Tournament, conducted by Sri Lanka Army, at the Army grounds at Dombagoda yesterday (2).

Dimo Southern Warriors beat Batsman-Com Eastern Warriors by eight wickets in the morning session of play.

Dinesh Chandimal, Skipper of Southern Warriors, steered his team to win while opening batting for them. Chandimal scored an unbeaten 79 runs in 52 balls, with seven fours and two sixes. He and Priyantha Rathnayake shared 105 runs for the first wicket.

Super Fashion Northern Warriors beat Event TV Western Warriors by seven wickets in the afternoon.

Ashan Priyanjan steers Super Fashion Northern Warriors to win with an all-round performance against Event TV Western Warriors. Priyanjan and Milinda Siriwardana shared an unbroken 55-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Priyanjan scored 46 not out in 29 balls with five fours and a six. He claimed 3/19 when bowling.

Upul Tharanga, the left-handed opening bat of national repute, has been the leading batsman of the tournament so far representing Event TV Western Warriors. He has scored 207 runs in three matches with an unbeaten century and half century. He could maintain a fine 207 runs average.

Dinesh Perera, the right-arm off-spinner of Super Fashions Southern Warriors, leads the bowlers' list. He took 7/83 runs in three matches. He has an impressive average of 11.86.
