Universities have taken steps to provide the Covid-19 vaccine to medical students receiving clinical training at hospitals, University Grants Commission Chairman Prof. Sampath Amarathunga said.
Speaking at a special press conference held at the Government Information Department, he said the decision had been taken as per the instructions of the President.
Accordingly, the first batch of vaccination will be done for the third and fourth year students in Universities, followed by the first and second year students.
