The body of an unidentified person has been discovered on the beach at Galle Face in Colombo, and police confirmed the victim to be a male of around 40 years old.
Speaking to The Morning, Police Spokesperson SSP (Attorney at Law) Nihal Thalduwa stated that this was the 3rd body that had been washed ashore along the coastline and investigations are currently underway.
"Just 3 days ago a body was found at the Galle Face as well. This is the 3rd body for this week. We are closely looking into the matter. The post mortems into the previous death are currently underway and a post mortem will be done on this body as well," Thalduwa said.
