The first unofficial four-day cricket Test between Sri Lanka ‘A’ and Bangladesh ‘A’ at Free Trade Zone Sports Complex (BOI) Grounds at Katunayake on Tuesday, 24 September was abandoned due to torrential rains on its second day. The play on first day Monday was also washed off without a ball being bowled. The match was to go on till Thursday, 26 September.

Mominul Haque captained the visiting team while Ashan Priyanjan led the Lankans but the final eleven of the two sides were not named as the toss was not made in the match.
The second and final four-day Test between the two sides will be held from 30 September to 3 October in Galle. Thereafter the three-match one-day series will be held at Hambantota (on 7 and 9 October) and at R. Premadasa (12 October).
