The UNP Parliamentary Group met at the Sirikotha - UNP Headquarters in the evening to take a final decision on the party leadership.
Reports quoted UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam as saying that no final decision was taken at today's meeting.
However, Parliamentarian Harsha De Silva in a twitter message said UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe had abruptly adjourned the meeting.
