The Jathika Jana Balawegaya (JJB) said today the government should provide concession not only to the registered stakeholders in the tourism sector but also to those who have not registered.
JJB MP Vijitha Herath said there were more than 3,500 registered guides but only about 1,900 of them have been given concessions.
“This needs to be expanded to include the unregistered stakeholders in the tourism sector as well. The job security of the employees should be ensured,” he said.
