This programme is being implemented as a solution to the food crisis that may arise in the future. The Minister gave these instructions during a discussion with officials of the State Ministry of Housing, State Engineering Corporation of Sri Lanka, and Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation. The Minister also said that steps will be taken to advertise locally and internationally when the lands are allocated for investment.
