In a statement issued by the National Hospital Media Unit, 243 admitted 42 dead, of which 13 foreigners were admitted and 9 foreigners dead, patients were transferred to Colombo North, Colombo South and Injured children transferred to Lady Ridgway Hospital.
In addition, the Kothalawa Defence University Hospital, Homagama Hospital and Avissawela Hospital are on stand by if the need arises to treat patients according to reports.
