The time has come for the opposition politicians to work together to end the political crisis and eradicate the epidemic, says tribal leader Uruwalige Wannila Aththo.
Speaking to the media in Moneragala, the tribal leader said that everyone has a duty at this time.
He said that it is more important at this moment to forget all parties, colors, races, religions and political differences and work for the country.
However, during the media briefings convened by the Opposition yesterday, some of the measures taken by the government to tackle Covid were severely criticized.
Speaking at a media briefing convened by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, MP Nalin Bandara said, "Although there is a state ministry for Covid, they have no money, so the State Minister invited the ambassadors to take the money."
The General Secretary of the JVP Tilvin Silva stated, "If there are no serious symptoms, I am now at home. What is the method of getting medicine at home? What is the method of getting food and drink?"
