US Congress has affirmed President-elect Joe Biden’s victory after pro-Trump rioters stormed the US Capitol, CNN reported a short while ago.
It said the Senate and House rejected objections to throw out Georgia and Pennsylvania’s electoral votes for Biden.
Certification proceedings were halted when the riot began. A woman was shot and killed on the Capitol grounds during the riot, DC police said.
