The United States of America has agreed to support Sri lanka and to promote investment in Sri Lanka after the conclusion of the IMF talks, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe stated further to a telephone conversation with the United States of America Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
This was made known via a media release by the Prime Minister's Media Division today (13).
Prime Minister Wickremesinghe explained the current status of the ongoing discussions with the IMF to Secretary Blinken and noted that Sri Lanka is looking forward to closely working with the United States and further strengthening ties between the two nations.
The Prime Minister further requested Secretary Blinken to extend his greetings to President Joe Biden.
