Use pipe water sparingly: NWSDB

  • Warns of supply interruptions if dry weather continues

     The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has urged the public to use pipe-borne water sparingly, owing to insufficient rainfall in catchment areas and the rapidly diminishing water capacity.  “Although there was some rainfall experienced in the recent days, we have not received sufficient rainfall in the catchment areas, and water capacity is fast reducing. Therefore, we request the public to use pipe-borne water sparingly,” an official at the NWSDB told The Sunday Morning.  The NWSDB noted also that if the dry weather experienced in the catchment areas continues, interruptions to the water supply would take place from time to time in a bid to conserve the available water capacity.
