Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage recently inaugurated the Warakawa Village Project in Nawalapitiya in an effort to further the President's programme to create a self-sufficient country.
The Warakawa Village Project is an agricultural village project under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture.
This was considered a step to strengthen local agriculture and the economy of rural areas.
