Vasantha Senanayake to appear before Presidential Commission probing Easter attacks

Former State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vasantha Senanayake has been summoned to appear before the Presidential Commission probing the Easter Sunday attacks, today (5). Criminal Investigations Department, Chief Inspector, Lalith Dissanayake and Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Relations, Dhammika Kumari Semasinghe have also been summoned to appear before the commission today. Former President Sirisena appointed the five-member Commission on September 21st, to look into the catastrophic series of events that claimed the lives of more than 250 on Easter Sunday. More than 78 people have provided evidence before the commission. The commission’s tenure will conclude on the 22nd of March.
