President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today said that his government was responsible for taking action against the perpetrators of Easter Sunday attacks but not for the attacks.
Speaking at the Gama Samaga Pilisandara programme held in Giribawa, Kurunegala, the President said the responsibility of the attacks should be taken by the previous government.
"The PCoI report on Easter Sunday attacks clearly says the previous government neglected giving prominence to National Security. The report says not only President Sirisena, the Prime Minister but also the entire previous government should take responsibility for the attacks," he said.
