Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Friday replied to the recent allegation made in the media that it had allocated 800 cricket-match tickets to the Minister of Sports, Faiszer Musthapha, to be given to his supporters to witness the recently concluded Sri Lanka versus South Africa cricket series.
In a media communiqué, the SLC has said: “However, SLC wishes to clarify that such allegations are baseless, as Sri Lanka Cricket only allocated tickets to the Hon. Minister of Sports to accommodate people at the ‘Minister’s Box,’ which is reserved for the Minister of Sports, during International Matches.”
