ITAK MP Shanakiyan Rajaputhiran Rasamanickam today said the rally ‘Pottuvil to Polikandy’ from East to North would go ahead on its last day today to reach its destination irrespective of obstacles.
He said today's rally which commenced from Kilinochchi will reach Polikandy with the support of the people.
“All of us should unite. These kinds of protests are not going to end with this. They will continue until we get justice and rights. Our feeling is our right,” he said.
He said the march was about winning the rights of Tamil and Muslim minorities in Sri Lanka and not about dividing the country.
“We only ask for basic rights and to fulfill a few requests. We hope the government will respect these and treat all of us as equal citizens of Sri Lanka,” he said.
