Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran today announced plans to form a new Tamil political alliance.
Wigneswaran said the new alliance will be named the Tamil People's Alliance (Tamil Makkal Kootani ) and will consist of a group of Tamil political parties.
Speaking in Nallur, Wigneswaran said that the new alliance will contest the next Northern Provincial Council elections.
