Former Minister of Justice Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe PC has declined the state ministerial portfolio offered in the new Government.
Reportedly, Rajapakshe had rejected the portfolio of State Minister of Education Reforms and had instead wanted a cabinet portfolio. Nevertheless, he had said that he would support the Government in Parliament.
Rajapakshe contested the recent general election from the Colombo District and secured a seat in Parliament.
