Education Minister Professor G. L. Peiris said today that he would make a request to the government to give priority to the teachers in the COVID-19 vaccination drive.
He said this during a visit to inspect distance learning facilities and health facilities available at several schools in Colombo.
The Minister said giving priority to the teachers in the vaccination campaign was reasonable due to the nature of their job.
