The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) today stated that Minister Wimal Weerawansa joining the opposition has not been completely ruled out, but it would not happen by making demands from the Opposition.
“If he decides to cooperate with the party policies and what we stand for, he will be able to join the Opposition. However, we would not allow him to demand things that go against our policies,” MP Hesha Withanage stated.
He further said that the SJB does not need an MP to shout out policies but rather a supporter base that is committed towards the betterment of the country.
“The reason Minister Weerawansa protests against his own party is because he knows their policies are wrong. He needs to come to a conclusion on what his own policies are,” he said.
