A 62-year old woman had been killed after she was run over by a suspect over a personal dispute in Welimanana, Mathugama, yesterday (07), stated Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.
It was reported that the suspect driver had a dispute with the victim over a piece of property following the death of the woman's 37-year-old son.
The Police Spokesman released details of the suspect's vehicle number (CBI 6295), and requested the public to assist them to nab the suspect who is absconding.
Further, a Magisterial Inquest is being conducted by the Mathugama Magistrate today, as well as the autopsy of the deceased.
