The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) will be holding a workshop next week on the pros and cons of legalising marijuana in Sri Lanka.
GMOA General Secretary Dr. Haritha Aluthge said the workshop would be held on Monday (28) at the Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPASL) premises.
“Our committee appointed specifically for this purpose will be presenting its findings at the workshop,” Dr. Aluthge said.
The GMOA earlier this month appointed a five-member committee to study the benefits of legalising marijuana in Sri Lanka.
