A workshop on the controversial Kothalawela Defence University (KDU) Bill is to be held for all governing Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MPs on 2nd August, The Morning learnt.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has informed the SLPP parliamentary group of the workshop on 2 August during the group meeting last Sunday (18).
The President has also noted that the proposed Bill will be taken up on 3rd August in parliament for approval, it is also learnt.
The SLPP MPs have been requested to present their amendments to the proposed Bill as well.
