The World Food Programme (WFP) Chief David Beasley has announced in a tweet that the WFP is currently on the ground in Ukraine and is preparing to step in as needed.
Tensions rose between Russia and Ukraine earlier today (24) after Russian President Vladimir Putin cleared a Military Operation to attack Ukraine's capital Kiev.
Several media sources on ground reported missiles being fired into Kiev and Kharkiv.
