05 May 2021

Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Harsha De Silva today (5) stated that 112 more Suwa Seriya ambulances have been procured to expedite the health security process. MP De Silva stated, "Let us do the right thing for the country irrespective of party affiliation. I am heartily pleased that 1990 Suwasariya is progressing day by day for the benefit of the people of the country. The proposal made by State Minister Sudarshani Fernandopulle to procure 112 new ambulances for Suwasariya is a very timely one when the Covid-19 pandemic is intensifying," He said that the success of the Suwa Seriya project has been recognized by the entire country. "I feel genuinely happy about that. Some said that the project would end when the ambulances ran out. However, I thank President Gotabaya Rajapaksa for the outstanding contribution of the present government to this project. I would also like to thank Minister Sudarshani Fernandopulle, Dumindra Ratnayake who volunteered to lead this project, and Sohan de Silva and the Suwa Seriya staff for their service to the country," De Silva stated. He also thanked former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their unwavering support in carrying out this project.
