Twelve Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) officers arrested for allegedly being involved in drug trafficking have been remanded until 20 July by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
On the 2nd of July, when the suspects were arrested by the CID and produced to court, the court ordered that the suspects be detained until 8th July for further questioning over drug trafficking.
The officers were arrested by the CID after being interrogated for several hours on the 2nd of July.
