145 persons have been arrested for violating quarantine laws in the last 24 hours.
"It is seen that some people ignore the quarantine rules no matter how much they are informed to follow them," Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana today stated.
Meanwhile, he stated that in the Kattankudi area in Batticaloa, many people were seen walking on the road without wearing masks.
The Kattankudy Medical Officer of Health states that 36 such persons were referred for PCR tests.
