160 more Omicron cases in SL

Another 160 patients infected with the Omicron variant of Covid-19 have been detected in the country, University of Sri Jayewardenepura Allergy Immunology and Cell Biology Unit Director Dr. Chandima Jeewandara confirmed today (15).

The first Omicron case was detected on the 3rd of December 2021, and ever since then the numbers have been on the rise.

Including the 160 Omicron patients detected today, the total Omicron cases in Sri Lanka have exceeded 200 patients.
