The Epidemiology Unit states that 75% of all Covid deaths were of those over the age of 60.
Twenty-four percent are between the ages of 30 and 59, and 1.2 percent are under the age of 30.
The Epidemiology Unit says that the majority of those who died of Covid-19 infection were men.
The Director General of Health Services has confirmed that 47 people have died due to Covid infection on July 20.
Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid infection in the country has increased to 3,917, according to the Government Information Department.
Meanwhile, the total number of Covid infections in the country has increased to 289,577, the Epidemiology Unit said.
Out of the total 263,758 Covid patients have been cured so far and 21,949 are still receiving residential treatment.
Meanwhile, 1,566 new Covid-19 infections were identified in the country yesterday as well.
