Action would be taken against the drivers and conductors of the buses if they were found to be providing transport facilities to passengers who fail to wear face masks, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said according to COVID-19 regulations, the buses should continue to transport a limited number of passengers who follow COVID-19 guidelines.
The bus drivers and assistants will be liable for legal action if they were found to transport passengers violating COVID-19 regulations.
