A 44-year-old airman, who had robbed a rural bank at Usmudulawa in Ambalangoda, has been arrested along with a hand grenade and a locally made bomb. Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the suspect had robbed Rs. 136,000 in cash from the bank after threatening the bank manager. He said the suspect had arrived on a motorbike wearing a full-face helmet and a jacket to rob the bank. The suspect is attached to an Air Force camp in Trincomalee.
