Parliamentarian Lasantha Alagiyawanna has been appointed as the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Acting Organiser for the Attanagalla electorate replacing former President Chandrika Kumaratunga until the 16 Nov Presidential polls.
SLFP Acting Chairman Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa said that a permanent organizer will be appointed after the presidential election.
Piyadasa noted that disciplinary action will be taken against Kumaratunga after the Presidential polls.
He added that the measure was taken as Kumaratunga led the Api Sri Lanka convention and pledged her support to presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa.
