Police Media Spokesperson ASP F.U. Wootler announced that Interpol ‘Red Notices’ have been obtained against 95 Sri Lankan organized crime figures currently hiding abroad.

In a briefing on the 16th, he stated that 10 suspects were repatriated in 2024, and 11 in 2025, with a total of 21 suspects brought back under Extradition Laws during this period.

He confirmed that many criminals operating from overseas have been identified, leading to the arrest and return of two men and one woman today (16), with international cooperation from the UAE, Abu Dhabi Police, Dubai Police, and Sri Lankan embassies.
