A total of 568 individuals were arrested during a special island-wide operation conducted yesterday(07), the Sri Lanka Police noted.

Police inspected 26,895 individuals during the operation, according to the Police Media Division.

Authorities identified 15 suspects linked to criminal activities and arrested 445 individuals with outstanding warrants.

Police also apprehended 282 drunk drivers and 56 reckless drivers, while 4,160 people were identified for other traffic offences.
