- Festive season at Harpo’s Cafes and Restaurants
It’s that wonderful time of the year and in a lighthearted tone, amidst the challenges, Harpo’s Cafes and Restaurants brings in a calendar of festive food, entertainment, and beverages for all to enjoy starting from November onwards. The joy of the season is in the air with all the restaurants aglow with festive lights and décor.
The annual charity, now in its 17th year, will be held in association with the Colombo City Restaurant Collective for 60 kids at the Community Concern Centre in Dehiwala, to share the joy of the season with the less-privileged.

There’s no Christmas like an Italian Christmas, since Italian Christmas food tends to be a combination of unique homely dishes. Chef Saroj and his team at The Bayleaf restaurant will present a holiday specials menu till 23 December and the traditional Christmas specials from 24-30 December. There are festive goodies for special take away orders. New Year’s Eve has been a tradition at The Bayleaf and this year will also see a western and eastern dinner buffet with DJ music and a countdown to 2023.
At the Commons Coffee House the festive calendar is packed with seasonal fare with a lot of love from Chef Manjula and Manager Prasanna and the extensive range of festive hot and cold coffees, frappés, turkey menu, kids activities, and delicious desserts for some new twists on the traditional. Bringing in the simple local touch, new for this season is the hopper cart and burger cart along with the ever-popular roti cart for your seasonal entertainment. Commons also offers a selection of exceptional festive catering menus for the season and festive goodies for special order.
The Mews restaurant also features a seasonal executive lunch menu till 20 December, Christmas specials from 20-30 December with all the traditional favourites, and a New Year’s Eve programme.
Curve Tapas Bar continues to feature a selection of live bands from Wednesday to Saturday during the season with happy hour deals along with its tapas menu. Chill out on the street or in the A/C comfort to jingle, mingle, and enjoy the music at Curve Tapas Bar this festive season.
Colombo Fort Café at the Dutch Hospital is prepared with a special seasonal menu till 20 December with daily happy hour and sundown deals, countdown to Christmas menu from 20-30 December, and a New Year’s Eve menu to enjoy with alfresco dining or at the restaurant.
Harpo’s Pizza offers two festive pizzas – delicious thin-crust homemade freshness with pork loin pizza with toppings and BBQ chicken pizza to enjoy. The hot favourite is the gigantic 19-inch party pizza and the only 22-inch square party pizza deal for family and friends to share.
