Attorney Supun Wijerathna officially took over as chairman of the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) and director-general of youth affairs.

Accordingly, he is the first to rise from the Youth Parliament to lead the NYSC, having previously served in key youth leadership roles.

The event was attended by Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Sunil Kumara Gamage and Deputy Minister Eranga Gunasekara.
