The Colombo Stock Exchange recorded a turnover of Rs. 6,313,135,234 yesterday (9), with the All Share Price Index (ASPI) ending lower at 36,169.55 compared with 36,223.24 a day earlier (Friday). The S&P SL20 also eased to 23,754.26 from 23,801.96. 

Domestic purchases totaled Rs. 6,066,830,125, while domestic sales were Rs. 4,660,377,829, according to the trading summary. Foreign purchases amounted to Rs. 246,305,109, while foreign sales were Rs. 1,652,757,406.

Total turnover volume for the day was 351,083,235 shares, including 315,478,273 domestic and 35,604,962 foreign. The market recorded 44,915 trades, including 44,098 domestic and 817 foreign trades.

Market capitalisation was reported at Rs. 8,475,612,577,785.
