Sri Lanka’s total exports reached an estimated US$12.01 billion during the first eight months of 2026, up 4.26% from US$11.52 billion recorded during the same period last year, according to the Export Development Board (EDB).

Merchandise exports increased 3.63% to US$9.41 billion, while services exports grew 6.59% to US$2.60 billion.

In August, total exports reached an estimated US$1.60 billion, with services exports rising 13.97% to US$331.87 million.
