Water supply to several areas in Katugastota will be suspended for 48 hours due to essential maintenance work at the Katugastota Water Treatment Plant, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) stated.

The water cut will be in effect from 9.00 a.m. tomorrow (6) until 9.00 a.m. on 8 October.

The affected areas are Uduwawala, Rajapihilla and Gonigoda.

Residents have been requested to use stored water sparingly during the interruption.
