President Anura Kumara Dissanayake announced today (17) that ferry services between Mannar and Rameswaram will soon resume, following discussions with the Indian Government.

Speaking at an election rally in Mannar, he also pledged to release lands seized during the war, reopen closed roads, and address land issues involving the Forest Department, enabling people to reclaim their property and resume cultivation.
