Four more COVID-19 deaths reported in SL

Four more COVID-19 deaths were reported today increasing the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country to 34, the Government Information Department said. It said one victim was a 42-year-old female who was a resident of Maligawatta, Colombo 10. She has passed away from COVID-19 infection coupled with complications of heart disease. The second victim was a 69-year-old female from Maligawatta who had been suffering from a number of prolonged illnesses. The victim was pronounced dead after she was admitted to the National Hospital, Colombo. The third victim was a 67-year-old male from Wellampitiya who had been suffering from prolonged illnesses. The fourth victim was identified as an 88-year-old female from the Ganemulla area. The Government Information Department said the victim was a close contact of one of the COVID-19 patients of the Minuwangoda cluster.
